AXIS.

Objective

Axis Communications, a manufacturer of surveillance cameras, brings almost the entire security industry together each year at the Axis Solution Conference, except its competitors. It runs as a small trade show: the exhibitors are integrators, distributors, and engineering firms that build solutions on Axis cameras. Attendees include public institutions, police and military services, councillors and city officials who launch tenders, and large private clients with a lot of infrastructure to protect, from retail chains to critical infrastructure such as wind farms.

Process

Most of the build took place in the stadium's Presidential VIP Lounge, which we clad entirely: panels to cover the columns and temporary partitions to give each of the more than 60 exhibitors their own space, with graphics, a screen, and installed Axis cameras for live demonstrations. In the stadium press room we built the main stage, where the awards ceremony was held. We completed it with a road painted on the floor to show traffic and access-control solutions, and a games area with a whack-a-mole machine.

Result

A room normally used for institutional hospitality turned into a full exhibition venue for the event, with more than 60 exhibitors showing their solutions to potential clients. The event won the award for best event in the security sector.
